Worker killed falling from pylon
A worker was killed after he fell ten metres from an electricity pylon in Embach in the Salzburg region of Pongau this morning (Wednesday)
The 24-year-old man from Matrei in East Tirol died instantly upon impact.
He was working on a 110 kv high voltage pylon for the ÖBB when the accident occurred.
It is still unknown how he came to lose his grip and fall as colleagues looked on - unable to help.
His colleagues who witnessed the accident were treated by a crisis intervention team at the scene.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
