Rape victim gets 40 K compo after wheelchair rapist attack
Convicted Turkish rapist Deniz A stepped out of his wheelchair and walked to freedom from a secure clinic in Salzburg, Austria, after convincing docs he was disabled.
He then carried out three further rapes before he was caught six months later, an Austrian court heard - where one of the victims has demanded compensation from the state.
The court ordered that the unnamed victim be paid 40,000 Euros compensation for her ordeal in 2007 after the man had escaped from the clinic.
The court heard that the 29-year-old Turk had died three years ago after committing suicide in his cell.
