12-year-old killed in ski crash
A 12-year-old skier died in a skiing accident in Saalbach-Hinterglemm (Salzburg) yesterday (Tues). He went off-piste and crashed against a tree.
The student from Baden-Württemberg, Germany, was a member of a sports club, which had come to Saalbach for a skiing course.
Although the boy was wearing a helmet he was injured severely when he crashed against the tree. He died at the venue.
The police are now looking for witnesses of the accident. The young colleagues of the boy are in shock and are now receiving psychological treatment.
