Green-Whites defeat Ried

Rapid Vienna have managed to remain a serious contender for the Bundesliga title by beating SV Ried on Sunday.

The team of former national team defender Peter Schöttel defeated the cup champs 3-2.

Rapid’s archrivals FK Austria Vienna celebrated a 3-0 win over Wacker Innsbruck on Saturday. Leaders Red Bulls Salzburg (RBS) defeated Mattersburg 1-0 while Kapfenberg lost 1-2 against Sturm Graz.

Magna Wiener Neustadt suffered a 1-4 defeat against Dietmar Kühbauer’s FC Admira.
